She has accomplished her doctorate in English literature under the guidance of Late Prof. Niranjan Mohanty, Prof. of English, Visva Bharati, Santiniketan. As I take over the position of the Vice Chancellor, Hindi University, West Bengal, I consider the challenges of this new university as opportunities for me towards social contribution and commitment. I have had multiple meetings and interactions with the faculty, staff and students of the university and I am glad, relieved to see that they are people of commitment and dedication to academics. In the very first week, we introduced the HINDI UNIVERSITY SPECIAL LECTURE SERIES and invited Prof.Anisur Rehman to deliver the first lecture of the series, which was a grand success. We shall invite the best brains of the country to collaborate with us in very near future.
